The Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their leading Band 1 Securitisation / Debt Capital Markets practice in Sydney.

In this role you will be working on the structuring and execution of complex financial transactions, including securities and financial market regulations, prudential regulation, foreign investment and takeovers regulation, secured transactions laws and insolvency. You will also have the opportunity to work with other pre-eminent Partners and senior lawyers across the wider Finance practice group.

You will gain excellent client exposure and opportunities to develop a network of relationships. You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working in a team of highly ambitious and talented professionals.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Demonstrable experience in delivering technical advice on a range of banking and finance matters, with specific securitisation experience, from a top tier, national or international private practice environment;
At least 5+ years' legal experience; however, our client is open to considering candidates with more or less experience;
An excellent academic record coupled with strong legal skills and a practical mindset;
A proactive approach and desire to be an integral member of this leading and supportive team;
An ability to work to tight timeframes, collaboratively and at times autonomously;
Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate collegiality within a team;
Been admitted to practice law in either Australia or New Zealand.
