We have partnered with a tech business in their search for a well-rounded, Senior Corporate/Commercial Lawyer to work alongside their CEO for an anticipated 9 month period, based in central London.
The role will involve recognising the business consequences of legal advice and provide creative solutions to complex legal problems. The role will involve assisting in legal matters regarding the corporate centre of a global technology company with responsibility for corporate governance, financing, M&A, corporate restructuring, international transactions, commercial agreements and other related business matters. It will involve proactively identifying, communicating and managing legal risks and advising senior management regarding corporate governance and other regulatory matters.
Approximately 10 years' experience gained in both major law firm and in-house settings.
Have experience working for a multi-national organisation in the technology or private equity sectors preferred.
Communicate efficiently regarding business, legal and technology matters.
Be experienced in commercial transactions, including complex contracts, mergers and acquisitions, sophisticated financings, international transactions, and antitrust issues.
Have management experience and be able to provide leadership on a variety of general corporate and commercial legal matters.
A strategic and innovative thinker who can develop and articulate a clear understanding of the company's strategy from all perspectives and find creative solutions to complex legal problems.
Ability to move easily between a hands-on, operations-focused view and a strategic outlook.
Comfortable working as a sole lawyer (this role will be less suitable for someone who is used to the support and infrastructure found in larger in-house teams).
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial/Corporate Lawyer who has experience working in-house within IT/ technology companies to utilise their knowledge and experience, in a complex evolving environment.
