Focused on pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, the company develops treatments across major diseases areas and combines science, data and insights to transform the way diseases can be prevented, diagnosed and monitored.
About the role
Reporting into the General Counsel and Company Secretary, you will join a small but highly regarded and business-integrated legal team with a remit to support the UK & Ireland business, as well as supporting on global matters when required. Although the role will be primarily focused on supporting the global Research & Development function, you will also provide general commercial legal support on a broad array of matters, including:
* Providing comprehensive legal support with a view to ensuring products achieve their goals, whilst appropriately managing legal risk, taking into account laws and regulations relating to (but not limited) the pharmaceutical industry, employment, commercial, privacy and data protection, intellectual property, employment law, competition law, marketing and advertising, anti-bribery law, litigation and disputes
* Assisting in driving critical key projects to ensuring activities are both commercially sound and legally compliant
* Identifying risks and opportunities derived from changes in legislation and ensuring that the key legal aspects are considered in both planning and decision processes
Ideally you will be NQ-4 PQE (guide only) with a good working knowledge of commercial, competition and privacy law, including drafting and negotiation as well as litigation, within a regulated industry.
