A unique and exciting opportunity for a talented real estate lawyer to join the International office of a leading global hotel and hospitality group who manage, franchise, license, own and develop hotels, resorts and branded residences under their numerous brands, with an impressive and diverse portfolio across nearly 50 countries. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, this newly created position will be responsible for providing invaluable legal support for the development projects and transactions across Europe, the Middle East & Africa, as the business continues to grow.
Reporting to the VP of Legal, you will lead on a range of matters with responsibility for negotiating complex hotel management transactions, acquisitions and dispositions as well as joint venture transactions relating to the development function. The role will also involve legal matters in relation to existing contractual relationships and current-owned real estate assets.
Ideally, you will be 4+ PQE with strong post-qualification experience in a top tier City law firm (or other international practice of comparable profile). Experience in commercial real estate and/or general corporate law will be required, whilst familiarity in dealing with high-value cross-border transactions in the hospitality sector would be highly desirable but is not essential. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting and negotiation skills as well as the capability to handle multiple projects at once and an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.
