A key aim is to network with senior managers across the business ensuring the smooth transfer of knowledge & skills. This role will, therefore, provide the Corporate Auditor with the opportunity to gain valuable knowledge & experience whilst developing skills that will be required for more senior roles.
A risk based approach is adopted, performing a programme of audit reviews contained in the annual Audit Plan covering operational, commercial, compliance & financial controls.
Engage with the Corporate Audit Manager during the planning process
Identification of risks, identify required data & sources, working with other members of the audit team
Use data analytics to substantiate risk or identify areas of concern once data is received during the planning stage
Arrange kick-off meetings/other meetings with senior management
Analyse situations & present the 'big picture' impact, think out of the box
Deliver on the areas of audit allocated
Constructively challenge senior managers & directors on risk & control issues
Develop good relationships with functional teams
Communicate issues to the Corporate Audit Manager throughout the audit
Engage in daily/weekly meetings with senior management to discuss issues identified
Key roles & responsibilities (non-audit) include:
Continuous input into the annual audit risk assessment
On-going collation of key business change impacting the development Audit Planning process
Update Corporate Audit Senior Manager & Corporate Audit Director with issues relevant to the department
Support 'projects' allocated during the year
My client has a strong preference for a qualified auditor with an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Due to multiple roles this would suit both newly qualified auditor candidates seeking a corporate auditor role within industry or 1 - 2 Years audit experience post qualification
Circa 15% travel across the UK, China and South America
